Football league rankings — goals, xG, cards & corners side-by-side
The Overview view ranks all 1,200+ football leagues across the four headline metrics that define a competition's character: goals per match, expected goals (xG) per match, total cards per match and corners per match. The highest-scoring leagues typically clear 3.0+ goals per match; tactical, defence-first competitions usually sit between 2.4 and 2.7. Card averages range from under 3.5 in calm, possession-heavy leagues to 5.0+ in physically intense ones. Corner counts cluster between 9 and 11+ per match depending on how wing-heavy the league is. Click any column header to re-sort and see the live ranking for that single metric.
Use the time period filter to compare a league's whole-season averages against its last 5, 10 or 20 matches. Form swings, weather changes, squad rotation and tactical pivots show up first in short-window data — power users compare both windows before drawing a conclusion. The Hide-empty toggle keeps the ranking focused on leagues with actual data for whichever column you're sorting on.
Every league row links into the league detail page, where you can dig into the standings, recent fixtures and team-level form. The four other view tabs — Markets, Scoring, Discipline and Attacking — re-shape the same dataset around a more focused set of columns for that lens.
